How can you find someone you unmatched on Tinder?
I am glad to report that you can find someone you unmatched on Tinder both outside and inside the app!
By outside, I mean using third-party apps; as for inside, you can use Tinder’s feature to overthrow its ridiculous policy.
Doesn’t matter if it’s you who was unmatched or who did the unmatching, you can still find that user.
1. Find them through the SwindlerBuster tool.
SwindlerBuster is a tool that finds existing Tinder accounts. It has been crafted with love from us to the people who need to find someone on the most popular dating platform.
How it works is that you need at least one of these three pieces of information:
- First/last name;
- A phone number;
- Or a selfie of that person.
If you have access to one (or all) of these details, use them accordingly.
For $5-$9, you’ll find the profile of the Tinder user you unintentionally unmatched…as long as they didn’t delete their account!
2. Press on Rewind.
Rewind, a Tinder Plus feature, lets you take back your last left swipe. It’s the yellow arrow icon on your screen.
Depending, a Tinder Plus subscription may cost you up to $10 per month (or even more), but it gives you unlimited Rewinds.
3. Try searching for their Tinder profile on Google.
Not just Google. You can use other Search Engines for your search (like Yandex), but Google works best for Tinder from what I’ve seen.
But, you can use Google to find someone you’ve unmatched in the following ways:
- Through the Google search bar.
Write down the username of the Tinder member you want to find like so: Tinder.com Jenna.
Albeit a limited number, Google should show you all the Jennas on Tinder.
- Google’s very own reverse image search tool (the camera icon).
Because it’s free, I highly doubt you’ll get the results you want. But there’s nothing wrong with trying.
Although, I don’t see how and why you would’ve saved their image to begin with.
- Give Google Advanced Search a go.
Google Advanced Search is the final form of searching on Google as it lets you make use of every available detail you might have.
For example, write down their username under ‘this exact word or phrase’.
4. Check with the users who already like you on Tinder.
There’s a good chance the user you’re so infatuated with is also infatuated with you, in which case they liked you on Tinder.
If you’re a Tinder Gold subscriber, go to the sparkle icon on your screen (the Likes You tab) to see the list of Tinder users who have liked you.
For active Tinder users, they will go out of their way to find the people they’ve lost in the Tinder sea!
5. Search for their profile by location.
Tinder’s Passport feature is exclusive to any Tinder subscription tier, and I have to say…it is quite useful.
You see, Tinder does not have an inner search feature like a search bar, but the Passport feature lets you find users in a specific area.
With that being said, go to Location in Settings and set it to the location of the person you’re trying to find.
Though not guaranteed, Tinder should recommend their profile after a while.
6. Attempt to look them up on social media platforms.
If you’re looking for ways to find someone you unmatched on Tinder on the vast land of social media, then this is for you.
The first thing you can do is look them up by name. You can find them on Instagram, Facebook, or Search Engines (for a more general search).
If you have their photo, you can reverse search it on Google or Bing (the photo icon on the search bar).
Another thing you can do is use Facebook’s filters. If you go to Facebook’s search bar, type their name, and go to People, you’ll get to see Facebook’s search filters.
There you can specify where this Tinder user lives and works to better your chances of finding them.
- I want you to use this method carefully. Not everyone wants to be reached out to outside of dating apps as it’s a serious violation of privacy. If they would be inconvenienced by this, do not attempt contact.
7. Just make a new account…
Your best bet is to make a new Tinder account and start swiping all over again. It’s very unlikely for you to see the same person on Tinder after all.
To do this, you need to delete your current account and make a new one—this isn’t the most important part, though.
– Set your preferences identically to how they were before.
The only reason this person got recommended to you in the first place is because Tinder believed you two were a perfect match.
That happened because your preferences were in sync with one another, so you must replicate the same scenario.
On your Settings, pick the same gender, age range, distance, etc., as them so as to see them on your Tinder feed again.
You might also want to leave some sort of indication that it’s you (an image, for instance) so that they swipe right again!
If you unmatch, they’re gone for good.
Tinder learns from your activity, so unmatching that one person shows you aren’t interested in them. This will make Tinder shuffle the people it shows you.
It’s a permanent thing that cannot be undone; you won’t be matched with the same person again.
Unlike Bumble, which matches you with previous connections again.
– There are a few exceptions.
The only way for you to match with the same person again is if…
- They delete their account and make a new one;
- You were swiping with a bad internet connection, in which case your glitching won’t count as swiping.
If one of these two is the case, worry not! You will match with them again.
Check whether you were blocked or their account was deleted.
Being unmatched on Tinder can be quite confusing…it’s as if your match literally disappeared.
You won’t see them or your conversation anymore.
If you were blocked or unmatched, you’ll still be able to find their profile with SwindlerBuster.
Alternatively, if their account got deleted, you won’t find their profile no matter how much you try.
Good luck! And swipe carefully.
